Introducing Waratah Poly Posts, a premium Australian made plastic fence post and part of the Waratah Flex Rail System. Designed as a long-lasting and durable fence post which can keep your horses safe while minimising maintenance over the life of your fence. Made from 100% HDPE recycled plastic, the posts are UV stabilised, corrosion-resistant, and rot-resistant, making them ideal for Australian conditions. If you are looking to replace your old, rotting timber posts, or perhaps want some posts that will make your fence look fantastic, Waratah Poly Posts are exactly what you’re looking for.
Waratah offers two types of Poly Posts, each with unique features to suit different applications. Our 120mm Poly Post has 8mm walls and is strong enough to be driven into the ground after boring a pilot hole. These posts are for inline use and are the perfect replacement for old timer fence posts.
The second option is the Poly Star® Post Kit, which features a 100mm diameter and 6mm thick wall and is ideal for easy DIY installation. This kit includes a Poly Post, post cap, top and bottom two-piece collars, and two Longlife Blue® pins. They are designed to be installed over the top of new or existing Star posts, allowing you to retrofit an existing fence line.
The posts are designed to last for years, providing a strong and reliable fence that requires minimal maintenance. Waratah Poly Posts are also easy to work with, allowing you to cut, drill, staple, and screw into it just like traditional timber posts, giving you flexibility during installation. When Poly Posts are paired with Waratah’s Flex Rail System you can create a great, reliable fence for civil, equine, and general use.
Waratah spoke with Chloe from NSW about why she chose Waratah Flex Rail system, “We love the fact that it’s electric because the horses don’t go near it, but for some reason if they do, it’s safe and there is less risk they could scratch or cut themselves. We originally looked at a post and rail timber fence because that was the look we wanted but decided against it for a few reasons. The maintenance is very high, they break often, and in the highlands it’s quite wet so the timber rots. With Waratah there is no rotting no matter the weather. We strive for perfection with our horses and riders and that was no different when we chose Waratah’s Flex Rail System”.
